Rebar

Rebar is a steel rod with ribbed surface that is used as a reinforcing element in reinforced concrete. Concrete has high compressive strength, but its tensile strength is very low. Rebars are placed inside the concrete to increase the tensile strength of the entire structure. Treads on the surface of the rebar increase the bonding between concrete and steel and thus improve the transfer of force from concrete to steel. In other words, rebars act like the internal skeleton of concrete and increase its resistance and durability against tensile, bending and shearing forces. Without rebar, concrete structures will be very weak against tensile forces.Karakert Steel Complex is producing high-quality industrial and construction rebars using the world’s latest knowledge and technology. The Karakert complex, with its products which are in the form of ribbed bars from size 10 to 32 mm, based on the standards of GOST 5254, ASTM A615, DIN 488, ISO6935, EN10086 and other international standards supplies the domestic and foreign markets.
